Rose Marie Hlavachek

December 13, 1960 ~ December 10, 2011 SEASIDE - Rose Hlavachek, 50, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon. She was born at the Fort Ord Hospital to Mary and Edward Hlavachek. She was the sixth child of seven children. She spent most of her life living on the Monterey Peninsula. Rose attended Fremont Junior High and Monterey High. Rose loved do anything with her hands that created beauty. You could often recently find her painting ceramics with her granddaughter or reading books or Scripture. Her loving heart never kept her from helping others in their time of need even when she had little to give. She loved to offer a sympathetic ear and encouraging words for all who would listen. She loved all animals and all of God's creations whole heartedly. Rose's life truly began seven years ago when she met the lovely ladies at the House of Grace in San Jose, CA and accepted the lord Jesus Christ into her heart, which gave her the power to live her new life. In the last seven years she has enjoyed watching her granddaughter grow, teaching her new things every day. She has had a renewed sense of love,understanding, purpose and relationships that will go on in the hearts in all the lives she has touched. Rose is survived by her longtime companion, James Manabe; daughter, Laurie Albanese of Marina, CA; son, SSG. Robert Albanese of Seaside, CA; granddaughter, Deborah Albanese of Marina; grandson, Michael Schroder of Seaside; sisters: Letta Hlavachek (George) of Sonoma, CA, Rebecca Self of May, TX, Patricia Von Deas (Peter) of Pacific Grove, CA, Ann Freeman (Randall) of Monterey, CA; brother, Sheldon Deas of Sunnyvale, CA; aunt, Gail Szafran of Del Rey Oaks, CA; nephews, James Self of Texas and Dillon Thomas of San Francisco, Blake Freeman of San Luis Obispo, CA; niece, Ali Freeman of Monterey; cousin, Shirley Vargas of Seaside; and her faithful companion, Cinnamon, her Jack Russell Terrier. She has left behind, but not forgotten, many other sisters and brothers in Christ. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Edward Hlavachek; her brother, Carl Deas; uncle, Walt Szafran; and many other angels to help guide her home. Those of us left behind will sorely miss her but will be comforted by the wonderful memories she blessed us with. Services was held at Mission Memorial Park, 1915 Ord Grove, Seaside, CA
